DEBORAH CAIOLA

Deborah Caiola is an artist and educator working between Los Angeles and Philadelphia. Winner of the Leeway Foundation’s Transformation Award, Caiola works passionately to champion feminist ideals through her art. In her practice of painting, illustration, printmaking, and digital art, she attempts to create with presence and to allow the medium and the experience of making to direct her work so that the product is a combination of planning and improvisation. Paramount to Caiola’s work are the ideas of connectedness and compassion, believing that art can be a guide and advocate for these and many other joyful human pursuits.
